Human Rights Campaign Officer at Western Sahara Campaign UK
The Western Sahara Campaign is accepting applications for the temporary post of Human Rights Campaign Officer to develop and co-ordinate an international campaign to persuade the UN Security Council to introduce independent monitoring of human rights abuse in Western Sahara and to research a further campaign on workers’ rights in occupied Western Sahara.
The job will be based in London and runs for 4 months starting 7 January 2013.
Salary £7000 for 4 months
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of Western Sahara, and show commitment to the mission of the Western Sahara Campaign.
Candidates must be willing to undertake a wide range of tasks, including building links with unions and other ngos, research, maintaining websites and general administrative tasks.
Candidates must be fluent in English and have excellent IT and writing skills. Previous office experience and fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic would be an advantage.
