Mohamed Sidati of the Polisario Front, and Aminatou Haidar, Saharawi human rights activist, have made strong statements to MEPs about the EU-Morocco Fisheries Partnership Agreement (FPA)
In his letter, Sidati condemns the FPA as "iniquitous" and contrary to the founding principles of the EU. For her part, Aminatou Haidar notes that other EU FPAs, with countries from Mozambique to Greenland, must be suspended if there is a breach of human rights in the partner country. She asks why the EU seems to value the human rights of Saharawis less than those of Greenlanders?
